struggle on brother geronimo

former black panther and political prisoner geronimo ji jaga pratt died in tanzania.  targeted by cointelpro and framed for the "tennis court" murder of a white woman in 1968, he was falsely imprisoned for 27 years before being released in 2007.

after his conviction, documents released under the freedom of information act revealed wire taps on his attorney's, johnny cochran, phone, the government's star witness was a paid informant, and informants had been placed in and around cochran's offices to divulge his trial strategy.

brother gerominmo was tortured while in prison, being kept in a single cell for 23.5 to 24 hours per day in several jails and state prisons for over eight years.  he spent over half his life struggling and standing in opposition to oppression and exploitation.

may we do the necessary work to ensure his spirit will one day rest in peace.
